It can be difficult to create a resume from scratch, so the first thing that you are going to want to do is a little brainstorming. Just write down some of your best skills. It doesn’t matter if they are even related to the particular job you’re applying for. It is just helpful to see everything clearly in front of you on a piece of paper. If you are having trouble, ask your friends and family for some things that they think you do well.
From here, start looking at very templates and samples. You don’t have to look at too many, around three is a good number. Also, be sure you are looking at resumes for people applying to the same types of job as you otherwise will just be wasting your time!
There are plenty of existing templates out there. You can ask to borrow a friend’s resume and just put in your details on top of their existing platform. Or you can use one of the built-in MS Word templates. The choice is yours. Just make sure all the content in there matches you!
