Who was this genius who captured the hearts of children – and children at heart? Walt was one of five children born December 5, 1901 in Chicago – or pre-Internet, pre-mobile phones, and well before most anything was invented. That was a blessing in disguise. With no distractions, Walt began to draw.
Then he had an “aha” moment and began selling paintings and drawings to neighbors. His first ‘real’ job was in 1919, when he worked as a newspaper artist.
The Walt Disney Company has its roots in America and has blossomed from its early cartoon days in 1920 to become a multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate. These cartoons continue to capture the imagination and hearts of viewers of all ages and across the globe.
To entertain crowds, Walt Disney opened Disneyland in California in 1955. That was only the beginning of Cinderella’s Castle. Some of their recent mega blockbusters are Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel.
To keep the creative momentum streak going, Disney aggressively seeks new talent. Their intern program provides students with hands-on experience across many disciplines – from technology to communication.
With Disney’s sprawling reach, it has internships available in 10 of its entities, including ESPN and the ABC network. Results-oriented students will have an opportunity to work with leaders on various projects.
An internship with Disney can be a stepping-stone to a fulltime career. Many of their interns receive a fulltime offer upon graduation.
Only students that will be considered must be enrolled in Graduate degree program in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or Economics, or other quantitative field. Strong preference for those with SAS, R, or Python and SQL .
