Novartis offers interns the opportunity to perform research and at the same time gain valuable experience on how to find cures to the diseases that plague mankind today. Interns can enjoy all of these benefits even when they have not yet graduated. The Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) program is designed to help high performing medical students get familiar with drug discovery. There is also the 10-week Scientific Summer Scholars Program that exposes top-tier students to trainings and opportunities that would prepare them for a career in pharmaceuticals.
Only undergraduates of recognized US colleges or universities are eligible to apply for this internship. Post graduate students (Ph.D or M.D students) are not eligible for this program. Also applicants must be legally allowed to work in the US. Students must also be of strong academic background, boosting of at least a 3.3 GPA out of a 4.0 scale.
